If you really want to improve your health you must make a commitment to stay away from junk food, processed foods and sodas.
Your diet should be filled with whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, lean meats and fish.

Aim for five to six servings of fruits and vegetables every day. More if you can.
Protein is essential to maintain our cells for high energy levels. Be sure to include lots of cold water fish (salmon, sardines, mackerel) which provide the needed essential fatty acids which can reduce heart disease and improve your skin. Beans, eggs and nuts are also an excellent source of protein. Eat a protein with each meal; it will keep you feeling full so you will want to eat less during the day and will help you stop gaining weight.

Incorporate good fats such as olive oil, flax seed oil, avocados and nuts into your diet.
They are good for you, but don’t overdo it, they also have a lot of calories.
Drinking lots of pure water is needed by your system to flush out toxins and to keep your body hydrated. Drink at least eight full glasses each day.
