Quick Stress Reducers To Reduce Stress Immediately

Stress reducers are important and this is a quick stress reducer that you can do anytime that you feel stress overtaking you.

Close your eyes and inhale deeply through your nose for five seconds, hold that breath for three seconds and then exhale through your mouth for seven seconds. Repeat to yourself the phrase "I am relaxing". Allow your shoulders and chin drop.

You will feel the relaxation taking over and the stress being reduced. Continue this process until you are completely relaxed and your stress is reduced.

Try to take short breaks when you are working. At least once each hour, get up, move around and stretch.

This is necessary to prevent tension and stiffness from setting in and it also helps to clear and rest your mind. You won’t feel as much stress if you take these mini breaks during the day.

Stress Reducers For Daily Life

Listening to music is a terrific stress reducer. Listen to music that makes you feel good and is relaxing. Music takes our minds off of our worries and helps us to relax.

Stop assuming the worst in situations
. We often stress ourselves out by worrying about things that never happen. Make a conscious effort to think positive thoughts and disregard negative thoughts. Positive thinking can work wonders in your life. Stay away from negative people. Avoid them like the plague.

Choose to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln said "Most folks are about as happy as they choose to be". This is so true. We are the ones that control our thoughts and emotions. We can choose to be happy and positive or we can choose to be stressed out, miserable and negative. Which will you choose? It’s your decision.

Enjoy Life More - A Great Stress Reducer

Stop and enjoy all of life's small pleasures. Notice the smell of the freshly cut grass, the formations of the clouds, the beautiful landscape around you. Observe your surroundings and appreciate them. In this hectic world we live in, we often forget to take the time to look around and enjoy life.

Be careful about what you watch on television. Avoid violent and depressing shows (yes, this does mean the news). Instead watch comedies, movies or educational shows. Notice how you feel when you are watching a violent show. Do you feel tense? Change the channel and watch a comedy. Now how do you feel? It makes a huge difference. No one needs the extra stress of bad news or violence.

The best stress reducer is to put on headphones and listen to a stress relieving audio which effortlessly guides you to total relaxation and peace. Don't take yourself so seriously. Try to have more fun. Look for humor in all situations no matter how bad they are. People who laugh often are healthier and get more enjoyment from life. Surround yourself with positive and fun people. Your stress is automatically reduced when you are laughing and having fun.

Don't take your job worries and stress home with you. When you leave work forget about it. When driving home, sing along with the radio and begin to relax. Your home should be a sanctuary free of the stress and worry from your job.

Don’t set unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals should be reachable. Close your eyes and visualize yourself reaching them. When you visualize how an event will proceed, you will be more relaxed and less stressed about it when it really happens. Visualization is an excellent tool to use before any important event in your life.
