Maintaining a balanced life can be quite a challenge. There are so many different aspects to our lives. Our home life, our jobs, our personal lives will pull us in different directions and lead us to question our sanity.
We live in such a fast paced and hectic world and we are so busy trying to do everything at one time that we often miss the true joy of living our lives.
In order to have a balanced life, we have to learn how to slow down, prioritize and stop the emotional stress that leads to disease, fatigue and insomnia.
When you get home, leave your work at the door. Your home should be a sanctuary free of the stress from your job. This is not possible for everyone, but you should try to follow this rule as often as you can.

Using Meditation For A Balanced Life
All of us should take time out every day and enjoy some time in quiet solitude in order to get in touch with our feelings. During this “quiet time” you may find that you can get to the source of your problems and solve them.
You will be surprised at how even thirty minutes of quiet meditation will make a difference in living a balanced life. Daily meditation will relieve stress, cultivate optimism and give you a better quality of life. There are guided meditation audios that you can download to your mp3 player and listen to when you have an extra thirty minutes or so. If you can’t fit it into your day, listen to an audio at bedtime. It will dramatically change your life.
Lighten Up - Have Some Fun
Many times we are so busy that we forget to take care of ourselves. We tend to take better care of our family members than we do ourselves. Your mental and physical health should be your top priority. Without good health, you won’t be able to accomplish anything.
A balanced life starts with treating yourself with kindness. We are often too hard on ourselves and because of it we are losing out on the enjoyment of life. We try to jam too much into the day and lose sight of what life is really about. It is necessary to include activities that you enjoy into your daily life. Reward yourself, lighten up and have some fun.
It’s not always easy to live a balanced life. When your life becomes too hectic, remember to slow down, take a deep breath and just do the best that you can. Really that’s all anyone expects of you.

Yes it is true... Happiness is something difficult to find especially during these recession periods... It is time we stopped dreaming about our bosses and deadly targets and had more pleasant dreams... Meditation and Yoga have always helped.... after all old is gold !

Some friends and I were enjoying a wonderful Saturday evening with wonderful conversation (at a great new local restaurant that also had brick oven pizza) - and everything came back to balance, being balanced, having balance in our lives. Why did a certain thing go wrong? A lack of balance.
Meditation is wonderful because it works. I also love feng-shui for balance in the home. Fortunately, I have a feng-shui partner. It's great to share your interest with someone.
